Privacy policy

We collect only what we need to sell and deliver downloads, answer questions, and (if you agree) send you occasional updates. We do not sell your information, and we do not run advertising trackers or analytics on this site.
What we collect
- When you buy: your email address, the products you ordered, the amount, and the date. Stripe collects your payment details and billing information on its own page; we never see or store your card number.
- When you get the free sheet: your email address, whether you ticked the box to hear from us (and when), and where you signed up.
- When you write to us: your message and email address.
- Technical records: our hosting service keeps routine server logs (such as IP address and the pages requested) for security and reliability.
- Your cart: stored only in your own browser (local storage) so it survives page changes. It is not sent to us until you check out.
Cookies
Customers do not receive any tracking cookies. A sign-in cookie is used only for the shop owner's admin area.
How we use it
To deliver your downloads, send your order confirmation, handle refunds and support, keep records, protect the site, and, only if you ticked the box, send occasional planning tips and product news. Every marketing email will include an unsubscribe link.
Who handles it for us
- Stripe processes payments.
- Resend delivers our emails.
- Railway hosts the site and stores our order records.
- Cloudflare manages our domain and forwards messages sent to our support address.
These providers use your information only to provide their service to us. We may also share information when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept as long as accounting and tax rules require (typically several years). Newsletter signups are kept until you unsubscribe. Support emails are kept as long as needed to help you.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in any message, or by emailing us.
- Ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing hello@theevolvingthread.com. We will answer within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days. We may need to keep order records we are legally required to keep.
Children
This site is for adults planning events. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Security
Pages are served over https. Order and download links contain random codes, the admin area is password protected, and payment details never pass through our servers. No online service is perfectly secure, so please keep your order links private.
